About Us
The Music King is a relatively new Music Retail Company - and we are really making our mark on the music industry! We stock many of the big brands as well as continuing to expand our own branded products which now include: Devil Drums, Inspired Guitars and Ace Pro Guitars.
History
The company was started by our Managing Director, in September 2005 with a small loan from his parents.
The company originally began to import instruments from the Far East under the ‘Inspired' brand name, these instruments went down a storm on internet auction sites and demand began to increase.
The Music King was part time for Paul, along with his full time job as an internal sales person for a sticky label company. The label company allowed him to utilise some of their warehouse space for almost 6 months to store stock, until there were just too many guitars! At this point, The Music King acquired its first warehouse, situated in Oldbury, West Midlands.
As sales were increasing, Paul had to leave his 9-5 job and continue full time with The Music King. From that day, the company has grown from strength to strength.
Present
After the Grand opening of our new MEGA MUSIC STORE in halesowen We have 12'000 Square feet of warehouse space, a dedicated sales office and a HUGE showroom for you to pop along and collect or try before you buy. By housing everything under one roof we can keep our over heads down and bring you a very fast and efficient service.
Over the past 3 years we have placed significant investment into our stock holding and ordering systems. If you see an item in stock on our website, our pledge is to deliver it to you in no more than 48 (working) hours.

So what next for The Music King?
Our new website was launched in August 2008 and we are continually taking on new products and brands - if you don't see what you are looking for on the site, then please call us!
We are always coming up with new ideas on how to bring you a better service and offer you more choice. Watch this space!
We are currently looking to open a Music King Rehearsal Studios, Recording Studio and offer lessons in Guitars, Drums, Piano and Keyboard. We are now viewing suitable premises to accommodate this venture.
Did you Know!
The Music King was initially named The Guitar King. As time went by, Paul saw the need to offer a wide range of instruments such as Keyboards, Drums, Recording and Live Gear. So he changed the name to the Music King!
